For Accessibility Consultants (ADA & EAA)

Count the WCAG failures before you quote the fix.

Small businesses hear about accessibility from a demand letter or a news story about the European Accessibility Act, and then they need someone to tell them where they stand. SiteAssay finds the sites failing WCAG 2.1 AA, counts the automated failures and the images with no alt text, and gives you the evidence to open the conversation that leads to a proper audit.

What the automated pass measures

The failures a machine can find reliably, counted on the rendered page rather than the source.

WCAG 2.1 AA failures

Every error axe-core reports through Pa11y: contrast, missing form labels, empty links and buttons, broken heading structure and missing landmarks.

Alt text coverage

The share of images on the page with a text alternative. Low coverage shuts out screen reader users and weakens image search in the same stroke.

A second opinion from Lighthouse

Lighthouse's accessibility score, from a different rule set, so the count does not rest on one engine's view of the page.

What we will not claim

An automated count is a reason for a manual audit, not a certificate.

Automated tools find only a fraction of WCAG failures. Keyboard traps, focus order, meaningful alt text and whether a form makes sense read aloud all need a person. So the report never says a site is compliant. It says what was found automatically, how serious it is, and that the rest needs the review you sell.

How we measure
Evidence, not a verdict
A documented starting point for a compliance conversation, in words an owner can follow.
Counted, then re-counted
Re-run the audit after remediation and show the automated failures that cleared.
Your name on it
White-label reports on Pro and above, so the evidence arrives from your practice.

Why accessibility work is easier to sell now

Two pressures, on two continents, that reach small businesses directly.

ADA website claims in the US

Demand letters and lawsuits over inaccessible websites have reached small local businesses for years, and the first question is always where the site stands today.

The European Accessibility Act

In force since 28 June 2025 for many consumer-facing digital services, which puts accessibility on the agenda of businesses that never had to think about it.

Questions from accessibility consultants

Will the report say a site is ADA or WCAG compliant?

No, and it never will. Automated testing can show that a site fails, but it cannot show that a site passes, because many WCAG criteria need a person to judge them. The report presents its findings as evidence for a compliance conversation.

Which pages does it test?

The home page, rendered in a real browser so the result reflects what a visitor gets after the scripts have run. It is a first look at a site, not a full crawl, which is the right size for opening a conversation.

Can I find businesses to approach, not just test one site?

Yes. Search a trade and a city, and every business found with a website is audited and ranked by opportunity. Each one's page lists its accessibility findings before you make contact.
